Start at Sanam Luang

Grab mango sticky rice from a cart for 50 baht then head into the open field. Locals set up simple altars with flowers and incense. Walk clockwise around the merit-making area before crossing to the first temple.

Wat Pho Route

From Sanam Luang it's a 10-minute stroll south. Join the queue for the Reclining Buddha at dusk when candles glow along the cloisters. Entry costs 200 baht after 4pm.

Crossing to Wat Arun
